Announcing new collaboration: Kid Zoom + David Thomas

David Thomas met Kid Zoom on the set of Kanye West's Monster video for which he was styling. Soon after he commissioned Zoom’s iconic “Micky Skull” for Britney Spears to wear in the music video for I Wanna Go.
In addition to the “Mickey Skull” print, Zoom has created a range of pieces and patterns to be utilised throughout the One T Shirt capsule collection. Thomas has then taken elements of Zoom’s creations and used them as the design basis for his street inspired collection that features an oversized unisex lyocell-cotton t-shirt, zip-up hoody, zipped sweatshirt, printed socks and hats.
The collection was launched in January 2014 during Men's Fashion Week in Paris.

ABOUT KID ZOOM

Anointed “Rembrandt with a spray can,” by renowned American painter Ron English, Australian artist Kid Zoom first rose to prominence for his technical ability to free-hand paint using only aerosol. Combining precise photo-realism, distorted pop imagery and aggressive street and gallery installation work, Zoom’s brash aesthetic was defined at his successful New York solo debut, This City Will Eat Me Alive in 2010.

A multifaceted artist who now works across film, photography and site-specific installation, Zoom has recently had solo shows at The National Gallery of Victoria, Canterbury Museum and was included in the 2014 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art.
