Empire collection narrates fairly tales about domination and peace, terror and beauty from the Celestial Empire of China. Here we have three groups of images. The Transformers are computer-generated robots that include within their bodies universes of small architectural and mechanical details found on the web. The Landscapes are abstract panoramas built from survived fragments of pottery from the Forbidden City. Then an overview of the traditional and tourist China, through paper dragoons, crumbly flowers, obscure calligraphies, vanishing mountains and propaganda memorabilia.
